All of our flights and nights abroad are booked. We have a few details here and there to nail down, like optimizing the train schedule from Milan to Lake Como, but otherwise we’re done trip planning and lodging hunting. And by “we” I mean my wife Jen. She has been amazing at researching entire countries, looking for the best and most scenic places to stay (with kids mind you!), the best ways to get around, and tracking down the simplest, friendliest ways from one place to another.
Our trip starts on Tuesday, April 1 with an overnight flight from Albany, New York (via Newark )to Glasgow, Scotland and ends when we return home from Naples, Italy on April 30 (via Germany + Newark again). Here is our itinerary:
- 5 nights in Glasgow, Scotland
- 1 night in Preston, England
- 3 nights in London, England
- 7 nights in Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland
- 2 nights in Lake Como, Italy
- 6 nights in Montespertoli (Tuscany), Italy
- 4 nights in Positano, Italy
